EQUIPRAZOL is used for the treatment and prevention of gastritis, gastric erosions, and recurrent gastric ulcers in horses and foals older than 4 weeks of age, caused by ulcerogenic drugs, parasites, metabolic disturbances, or gastric secretion disorders. ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION: Oral.

DOSAGE:

For the treatment of gastric ulcers, EQUIPRAZOL® paste should be administered orally once daily for 4 weeks at the recommended dosage of 4 mg/kg.

For the prevention of ulcer recurrence, continue treatment for at least an additional 4 weeks, administering EQUIPRAZOL® paste at the recommended daily maintenance dose of 2 mg/kg.

For the prevention of gastric ulcer formation in healthy horses during periods of stress or treatment with products that predispose them to gastric ulcers, administer the minimum daily dose of 1 mg/kg of EQUIPRAZOL® FORMULA:
